Hi there! My name is Marcie Cramsey. I am a new author who has recently published a book for parents: Deep & Wide: Raising Children Deep in Jesus and Wide in Influence. I have a deep love for my Savior, Jesus Christ. My passion is to know Him intimately through His word, worship and prayer. But I also have another passion: parents and their children!
I am the Children’s Minister at Fairview at River Club, in Fredericksburg, Va. I love serving parents and their children. I have been in ministry to children and parents for 25 plus years. My deepest desire is to encourage families to bond in love as they become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.
Dan Cramsey (who is my best friend) and I have been married for 27 years going strong . We both have four wonderful children, where three are grown, one of them recently married and our fourth is still in the nest. You will hear more about my children in my book and my blog posts. They offer great writing material! (With their permission of course!).
My hobbies are reading, writing, thinking, hiking, biking, teaching, and hanging with my family. I have recently learned to enjoy boating and shooting firearms with my husband, too! I love the beach, but my favorite vacation spot is the lake nestled in the mountains. The rolling hills of Virginia, reading by the lake and hiking the trails rejuvenate and inspire me. I often say, “Being in nature is the closest place to God this side of heaven.” Just thinking about it brings me such peace!
In my writing, you will find that I intentionally write as if I am sitting at a kitchen table having a real, candid, understanding and supportive conversation with a good friend. I aim at being transparent as I share my life with my readers. After all, we are on this journey together! My hopes are to meet you where you are and help you get to where God is leading you.
I look forward to developing a relationship with each of you through my book and/or my posts. I hope you respond to the writings and allow me the chance to get to know you, too!
