Day Thirty-Two of 40 Days of Prayer for FRC

Father,

Your mercy and unfailing love is endless. Please grant your compassion on us as we strive to learn and grow more like you. Sanctification is a hard process, but it provides the best outcome for each person, and in this case, for our church family at FRC.

Remove any sins that would destroy your unity; strip us to the bare bones. Remove unrighteous judgment, haughty eyes, condemnation, pride, and selfishness. Replace these sins with your definition of love – patience, kindness, humility, honor, an others focus, joy, encouragement, truth, protection, trust, hope, and perseverance. Unify us around YOUR BEING and YOUR TRUTH and burn away all else in the fire.

Cleanse us with your truth; center all of our ambitions, desires, and goals around your will. Wash us with your Spirit; make us more useful in your hands. Motivate every heart to follow your ways and be in a constant posture of prayer for your church. Your zeal for your House consumes you; make it consume us just as much.

Endow this body of believers with skills to fulfill your works of service, so that we all will be built up until we reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God – Jesus Christ. Help us to be more mature attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Jesus. Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the wave of man’s innovations, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching. Instead, make us a people who speak truth in love, grow to become the mature body you desire in every aspect making Jesus our head. Make us a body in which the whole is held together and supported by YOU and YOU alone. Allow us to permit each other to do the very work that you have given each of us to do. Give us a heart of support and encouragement for each other.

May we do all we do as an offering of love and devotion to YOU, our Savior and our God.

In Jesus name,

Amen
